Browse Lists provide a way of rapidly navigating large vocabularies. They are useful as query aids for both search and classification rules-development applications. The Raritan framework provides tools to create and manage Browse Lists and to incorporate them into search applications.
Browse lists can be generated from any vocabulary source using Raritan Data collection Processing tools using the BrowseListOutputProcessor. For example, Entity Extraction tools can be incorporated into a data collection processing pipeline to extract person names, companies, places, etc. (depending on the capabilities of the Entity Extraction software), and these can then be browsed within a user search application.
